Surface
Patterns was open to the public in Huddersfield, UK, between Sept
04 and Sept 05.
Ten
sites picked for their significance to the town in terms of education,
transport and culture were tagged with 2000 facts made freely available
on request via sms. An audio service gave access to local people
talking about their personal connections to each place.
Commissioned artist Jen Southern created Audio
Tours, using GPS to explore how memory is linked to urban and
domestic place.
