Democratic
technologies are creating powerful and diverse communities from
an anonymous mass of scattered individuals. Online and mobile
communications now enable us to join forces, share information and feel strong as one of many.
Some of the most exciting developments today are being lead by
people who refuse to be passive consumers. People who spend their
time misusing technology. Those who bend it to fit their needs
and share how their secrets for free. We see this in phenomena
such as texting, social networking and mass participation initiatives
such as online games and Wikipedia. This
is more than the playground. This is where you will find your
elusive 16 – 24 year old market and a large percentage of
your future audience.
Welcome
to our workplace. We
can help you find a place for your ideas to flourish. Blink have
devised a diverse array of ground-breaking, cross-platform mobile
technology initiatives since 2000. Our success lies in practical
research and our collaborative network of technologists, leading
researchers, bloggers and artists. With access to such wide ranging
expertise we can identify alternative ways for you to reach wider
markets by pairing new forms of mass participation, like spontaneous
performance and production with the power of the Internet and
mobile phones. As pioneers in site-specific sms initiatives and
commissioners of made-for-mobile film content, Blink find the
very best ways to reach mobile audiences and the social networking
community.
Blink find new ways to use familiar and accessible technologies
for the widest possible audience. Our cross-disciplinary, multi-platform
work has created original and effective combinations of science,
film, mobile phones, theatre, realworld games, RFID, Bluetooth,
performance, literature, new media technologies, interactive architecture,
community and public art.
Through a range of production activities and the annual showcase We Love Technology, Blink partner with international creatives
working across commercial, private and cultural sectors. Designing
primarily for the mobile community we have extensive practical
and theoretical knowledge of developing large-scale and outdoor work. Risky business. Working at the leading
edge and exploring new territories we see our projects through
from beginning to end. Our careful research, budgeting and evaluation
assures confidence in our clients and guarantees success.
